On Wednesday 25 January 2012, ECNC organizes at the request of the Province of Noord-Brabant and the Noord-Brabant Task Force on Biodiversity, the second Biodiversity Marketplace in the Netherlands. It will offer many different organizations and companies the opportunity to get acquainted with all kinds of practical situations in which biodiversity is mobilized for nutrition and health. The surprising benefits that biodiversity can yield for these everyday subjects are central to the Biodiversity Marketplace ‘Brabant: good health from natural wealth’.

Many diverse initiatives undertaken by businesses and organizations in the food supply chain and in the field of health and welfare will be presented at the marketplace. They mobilize biodiversity in an innovative but practical way. ECNC hopes that the marketplace will lead to interesting collaboration, focusing on sustainable product development and customer relations.

General aim of the marketplace
The establishment and scaling-up of initiatives related to sustainably produced food and public health with biodiversity as both driver and beneficiary. ECNC aims to achieve this by bringing together organizations that are orienting themselves in new markets and are open to innovation, and by offering those who
have already taken the first steps an environment in which to establish their
initiatives more firmly.
