Amor Torre Marin

Education: Degree in Environmental Engineering (specialization in Forestry) at Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain.
Background information: Amor's main responsibilities are development and implementation of projects, identification of appropriate funding sources and opportunities, and development of proposals and budgets.

Before joining ECNC, Amor worked as a Technical Assistant for the Ministry of Environment in Spain. She coordinated a project elaboration team in the framework of the Forest Hydrological Restoration and Basin Protection Plan funded with FEDER European funds. Her main responsibilities were the evaluation of activities, supervision of works and elaboration of projects related to biodiversity conservation, forest restoration and river protection.

At the international level, Amor has worked in humanitarian rehabilitation operations following i.a. Hurricane Mitch in Central America, the 2004 South-East Asian tsunami, and floods in Mozambique as coordinator of nature conservation, water and sanitation and economic development projects. During her career she has developed good organizational skills, the capacity to work in multicultural teams and the ability to share knowledge and communicate in cross-cultural environments.
